Prescription Policy

All patients must bring their prescription bottles with them when being seen in the office

• Prescriptions will only be called in if the patient has seen their doctor within the last month and has a follow-up appointment scheduled.
• Exception will be made if the patient was in the hospital at the time of their last scheduled appointment.
• Patients under the supervision of non-Med-Surg Group physicians for pain management must get their prescriptions for pain medication from the prescribing physician.
• Prescriptions for narcotics will be given when the patient is seen by a physician in the office.
• Prescriptions for antibiotics will not be called in unless the patient is seen by a physician in the office.
• Prescriptions to treat new symptoms, or for problems other than what the patient is being treated for will not be called in; patient must be seen by a physician in the office.
